MUSTANG GIVE-A-WAY Help Us Save Local High School Sport Programs
Sports at Oroville and Las Plumas High Schools will be cut next year, unless $35,000 is raised to cover the district’s deficit forced upon them by the state budget cuts. OHS Athletic Boosters Club in partnership with Las Plumas High School and Oroville Ford, is sponsoring a car give-a-way to cover this shortfall and save high school sports at both our schools. However, WE NEED YOUR HELP! How can you help?
1) Purchase raffle tickets through any OHS Boosters member, high school coach, or at Oroville Ford, or, e-mail Oroville Boosters at ohs_boosters@yahoo.com
2) Join OHS Boosters ($25) and volunteer to help sell tickets or work events where tickets are being sold.
The tickets are $20 each; the lucky winner will take home a 2010 Mustang provided by Oroville Ford. The drawing for the Mustang will be held at the OHS v. RBHS Varsity Football Game at Harrison Stadium at approximately 8 p.m. You must be 18 years old to purchase a ticket. Complete rules can be picked up at the office of either school. The Oroville business community stands behind this project, so please shop Oroville and thank your local business owners for their continued support and concern for the youth of our community. UPDATE: The Tiger-Tail-a-Thon was very successful with 151 Mustang tickets sold. We had 25 parent and teacher volunteers and 23 athletes! GREAT JOB!
UPDATE: Feather Fiesta Days was a GREAT SUCCESS! Thank you to John Elkins - Gold Rush Car Show, St. Thomas School, Tom Aldridge, Charlotte Ross and all the volunteers and athletes who made this event successful. 150 plus Mustang tickets were sold. Lets keep the momentum going!
